Zach Bryan Concert Review

On March 14 and the 15th, Popular Country/Folk singer Zach Bryan performed two great shows at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Zach Bryan has over 30 million monthly listeners on Spotify and blew up tremendously over the past year on all platforms including Tiktok and Instagram. In August of 2023 he released his latest album ‘Zach Bryan,’ and shortly after that his EP album ‘Boys of Faith’ came out. With many great, relatable songs about love, friends, and home, there was no way most people would not love him.

If you were able to make it to either of these two concerts, you heard that he is releasing a new album at some point of this year. The shows in New Jersey got to hear three songs from this new album including “The Great American Bar Scene,” Sandpaper”, and “Better Days.” Some of his most popular songs that he played at the show were “I Remember Everything,” “Something In the Orange,” “Heading South,” “Revival,” “Burn Burn Burn,” “Dawns,” and “Oklahoma Smokeshow.” No matter where you sat at the concert, it was a once in a lifetime experience with a great setlist, show, band, performance, and singer.

I attended the concert on March 14th. Bryan played the songs from his new album, “I Remember Everything which is normally not played at his shows, and included a great performance of “Dawns.” Normally, “Dawns” features country singer Maggie Roberts. If she is not at the show with Zach, there are times where a fan with a sign will be picked to go on stage with Zach Bryan and sing Maggie’s part of the song. This is what happened at our show. Seeing the girl walking back to her car after the show was precious. She was crying with happy tears and so glad that it had happened to her.

Zach Bryan has been my favorite artist for years now and it was my dream concert, and the show even exceeded my expectations. There was dancing, screaming, happiness, and hype throughout the whole concert. The best part of his concert was at the end of the show, when Bryan faked an ending and left the stage. He waited for the perfect moment of the encore and came right back out with his whole band and played “Revival. Bryan turns this normally three minute-song into a 15-minute long jam-session extravaganza, where he thanked his band and introduced every one of them with their own solo part. His banjo player pretended to faint, leaving the crowd silent and scared, and once everyone was silent he jumped right up and played the banjo.

“Revival” from his 2020 album “Elizabeth” was his ending song. He started the concert with “Overtimefrom his latest album Zach Bryan. “The Quittin’ Time Tour” was a great experience. Being able to see it with my five best friends, dancing together, screaming, jumping, and singing with great joy. Sitting in section 2, Row 8, Seat 8 for $220 was one of the best experiences I will ever have. Another great thing that he did during the concert, was anytime there was a state, city, or place name he could change in the song, he would. Though he wouldn’t change it to just anything, he would say “Jersey” instead of “Oklahoma” as an example. It made the crowd go wild and jump in enjoyment! If you have the chance, see Zach Bryan!
