Review of Ariana Grande’s Album

Ariana Grande is a household name for young teenage fans all around the world. She recently just came out with her new album called, “Eternal Sunshine” on Friday March 8th. Her new album is new trove of her classic pop and R&B. The songs on her album are packed with emotion, catchy lyrics, and her amazing whistle notes that she is known for nailing. Each song tells a story, and there is a personal connection that she makes all of her fans feel when they listen to this album.

I have been listening to this album non-stop and have been a fan of hers for years. Ariana has been in the media for some controversial stories lately, and I believe that this album clears up all of those rumors about her. Ariana recently divorced her husband, and this album has given all of her fans closure on what happened during her marriage. She took her music to a next level with this album by showing off what her voice range can truly do. Most people think that since this album is about her divorce, that most of the tracks will be slow and sad. This is not the case at all and in fact the first song she released, “yes…and?” is one of the biggest pop hits today. These songs are constantly getting stuck in my head in the best way possible. She was able to incorporate her Nonna into the 13th track on the album titled, “ordinary things”. She also wrote some other collabs on the album with Troye Sivan and their song called, “supernatural” and with Mariah Carey on another version of “yes…and?”. There was a song leaked on Tik Tok that she wrote called, “Fantasize” which inspired her to write her smash hit titled “the boy is mine”.

Ariana Grande has not come out with an album since her album Positions back in 2020. Ariana has been extremely busy for the past few years filming the recreation of “Wicked”. Most fans, including myself, did not think that she would ever release an album during the time when her press had begun with “Wicked”. Many fans are eager to know if she will tour her two albums “Positions” and “Eternal Sunshine” together. She recently did a podcast episode with Zach Sang and stated that she would like to tour but will not do so until the release of “Wicked” which does not come until on Thanksgiving of this year.

Ariana is currently trying to send out a message to all of her fans about them sending people in her life hateful messages. She posted on Instagram over this past weekend a story of her explaining how that is not considered “supporting me” when people in her life who this album may be about are getting death threats and mean messages on social media sent to them. There are some fun facts about this album though and what it is named after. Ariana got the name from the 2004 movie, “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” starring Jim Carey and Kate Winslet. The film addresses the breakdowns of relationships and many believe that this album is about Ariana’s past and most current relationship. Ariana recently hosted SNL on March 9th and debuted some of her new songs on the SNL stage. She sang “imperfect for you” and “we can’t be friends.” In the “we can’t be friends” music video, Evan Peters is the main male lead and many fans believe that this music video is similar to the characters that Jim Carey and Kate Winslet played. Overall, I am a huge fan of Ariana Grande and absolutely adored her new album and I encourage all of you to give it a listen.
