Athletic Profile: Anna Rowland

By Jordan Bustamante

This year Anna Rowland is having a great season with the already successful Caldwell Volleyball team. Making the jump from JV to Varsity is never an easy task; however, Rowland has been handling it quite well. So far this season, Rowland has tallied up 10 service aces, 30 service points, and 8 digs. To learn more about Rowland and her success with the team, I sat down with her to ask a few questions:

Q: How has the season been going so far?

A: The season has been going pretty smooth so far and we are now 7-3. We also just won the quad tournament against Cedar Grove, Verona, and Mount St. Dominic.

Q: How are you ladies making up for injuries and players who have graduated?

A: We had a lot of talent to make up for in last years team and we lost 7 seniors who really helped the team a lot. However, everyone on this year’s team has stepped up and done a good job to make up for the players that graduated.

Q: What are the goals for the team moving forward?

A: Our goals are to continue to improve each day so that we may beat some of the more competitive teams that we will see this season.

Q:  What will you have to do to accomplish those goals?

A: We just need to keep working hard and keep our heads focused in the game. If we do that, we will be successful this season.

Thank you Anna, and good luck to the the volleyball team this year!
