Who Will Win the Senate?

Who+Will+Win+the+Senate%3F

As the saying goes, “The bigger they are the harder they fall.” The republican candidate, Roy S. Moore, is running for the Senate seat in Alabama. Moore is being accused of sexually assaulting young women. As many as five women, some as young as fourteen years old,  have already come forward to testify sexual misconduct. Republicans in Washington are asking Moore to drop out of the race as of now. They claim if Moore wins the Senate seat, they will expel him. Additionally, current senator Mitch McConnell, the Republican leader, believes the women and wants Moore to step aside.  Senator Cory Gardner of Colorado, chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, said if Mr. Moore wins the election on December 12, he should not be in the Senate since he does not meet the “ethical and moral requirements of the United States Senate.”

Moore has had a previous history of hanging out at football games and malls where he has been labeled as an offender. On several occasions, Moore went so far as to ask minors out. Moore claims that he has no intention of stepping aside. He claims to be a good conservative Christian.

The Republicans remain anxious though. If a Democratic nominee wins, the Republicans will have only a single seat advantage. However, if Moore wins the Senate seat, that would leave the Senate Republicans vowing to stop Moore from getting seated or to expel him from the chamber.
