The Caldwell girls soccer team had a challenging season. During the last couple of years, Caldwell has been dominant in the Super-Essex Conference making some impressive runs in the state tournament. Unfortunately, this has not been the case for the Chiefs this year as they were knocked out in the first round of the state tournament. Throughout this season the team has faced some tough opponents and suffered some crucial losses. The girls would finish their season with a record of 8-10-2.
Although their results have not been favorable, players such as Phoebe Bledsoe, Leanna Rebimbas, and Nina Ricci have performed well. Junior Phoebe Bledsoe had an outstanding season tallying up 328 saves on the year. Freshman Leanna also had a great season with 4 goals and 8 assists.
As we start to look toward next year, it is looking hopeful for Caldwell in the coming years. Many of the star players of this season will be returning next year. The experience that these younger girls gained over the past year will help the Chiefs tremendously next year. Although this past season may not have ended the way we would have hoped, we can be excited for next season.
