Spring break started on April 11th and ended on Easter, which was April 20th. During my break, I did many things including hanging out with my friends, taking day trips into the city, and my favorite part was going to the Hamptons for a night. Spring break felt a little short this year, since we had to go back the day after Easter, but that’s okay. Last spring break, I went to California which was very nice, but this year we stayed more local and partook in day trips, and one overnight.
During my time in the Hamptons I did many things including going to a famous dessert place, Tate’s Bake Shop in Southampton, NY. While I was there, I of course had to get their famous cookies as well as getting a coffee and a chocolate chip muffin which were very good. While I was in the Hamptons, I also went to the beach, which was really pretty, but It was cold the day I went, so we just looked at shells and collected sea glass. One of my favorite things about the Hamptons were all the cute little shops. It was really fun to just be able to walk around and shop for cute little things. This was my first time here and overall I really enjoyed it and would most definitely go back.

More recently, I dyed Easter eggs with my family which is a tradition we do every year. My siblings, cousins, and I all dye Easter Eggs the day before Easter, and this is something that we have done since we were younger and it’s something that I really have fun doing. Day trips into New York is something that I do quite often, but with having many days off for spring break, I was able to go into the city more often. Most of the time, when I’m in the city I visit my sister who lives there, and we usually go to lunch. We went to lunch at this place called Sant Ambroeus, which is a very good Italian place in the city. I love just walking around the West Village and shopping in the little stores. Being in the city I also love to stay active, so me and my sister walked on the West Side highway by the water like we usually do every time I am there.

Lastly, I did a lot of hanging out with friends around town, and just shopping a lot. I went to the mall multiple times, to go shopping for summer things. I also went to Starbucks multiple times a day, which I often do. Luckily, we got good weather a few of the days towards the end of the week, so that allowed me and my friends to go on walks around town and walk to places like Panera, and Chipotle. Therefore, even though spring break felt very quick this year, it was loaded with fun things and I had a really good time.
