Beautiful Rebirth

The moonlight shines softly on the midnight waves.

The beach is left empty from the afternoon craze.

The seemingly black water pushes and pulls.

The abandoned sand is perfect for lost souls.

The quiet waves produce a relaxing sound.

And all those lost souls will soon be found.

A shooting star dashes across the night sky.

And there you are – wishing you could fly.

As you look up, you realize there’s yet another sea.

One so beautiful you can hardly believe.

The sea of stars lights up the night.

And you feel as though you could truly take flight.

You rise rise rise – up into the air.

You could never ever dream of a better pair.

You and the moon,

Singing a beautiful tune.

You sing loudly when nobody can hear.

But that’s okay – you’ll never disappear.

Night after night you sing to the Earth,

Hoping one day for a beautiful rebirth.
