Almost everyone loves Halloween because they are allowed to dress up as anything for that one night of the year. This holiday is truly a night to remember. It only comes once a year and celebrities take this day to celebrate the spooky and fun spirit of the holiday. Heidi Klum hosted her annual Halloween Party. This 22nd annual event was held at the Marquee in New York City on October 31st. Heidi Klum was an extraordinary peacock, using other people surrounding her as feathers to create the illusion of a real peacock.
Her husband contributed by being a peacock egg to go with his wife’s innovative costume. “I wanted to do a costume with many, many people. I wanted to have a bunch of people and we all become one thing. And for me, in my mind, that one thing was the peacock” (Heidi Klum 2023). No one can say that celebrities don’t go all out for Halloween especially if they heard how long it took for Heidi to get into her costume ….SIX HOURS.
Now, Heidi Klum of course was not the only person to attend her Halloweekend party, and certainly not the only one to dress up. Celebrities that attended her event included Camilla Cabello, Taylor Lautner, Becky G, Alix Earle, H.E.R., and many more. Let’s see if their costumes can compare to Heidi’s.
Camilla Cabello attended wearing a classic, but cute costume as Mia Thermopolis from The Princess Diaries. This costume was quite popular this year as I had seen a couple of The Princess Diaries costumes myself this Halloween weekend.
Becky G. dressed to impress, wearing a costume from the widely streamed Tim Burton film, Corpse Bride. This costume seems to be overused because this year the film was the most popular. I love the movie, so this costume was one of my favorites. I liked the makeup the most; it was stunning and well-executed.
Although I loved Becky G.’s costume, Haley Kalil’s was my absolute favorite. Haley Kalil showed up as Voldemort from the Harry Potter movie series, and she SLAYED. One of my favorite types of costumes is the silly ones that show the true fun that should be had on Halloween. Yes, you can wear something “hot” and “trending,” but the people that choose to be silly and dress for humor capture the essence of Halloween. Everyone should have fun, and by dressing in something fun, they can also make the night enjoyable for everyone else around them.
Not only were there “Hollywood” celebrities, but there were influencer celebrities as well. Some influencers seen at Heidi Klum’s party were Meredith Duxbury and Emma Norton, both are well-known from the social media app TikTok. Meredith Doxubury and Emma Norton had some beautiful costumes and I think they looked very aesthetic. Meredith was the thirties icon Betty Boop. Betty Boop is truly one of the most iconic Thirties cartoon figures that holds a special part in my heart, making this costume more enjoyable to me. Emma Norton was the Statue of Liberty. Her approach was said to have been a “glamorous approach” and I think she excelled astronomically with that concept. Everything about the makeup, outfit, and hair is quite literally breathtaking and perfect. She achieved glamour.
After seeing all of these celebrities’ costumes, I feel inspired for costume ideas next year. Remember, Halloween is only 353 days away, so get planning and make it your best costume ever. Don’t be boring, be a peacock, like Heidi Klum.
