The Superbowl is a football game that many people look forward to all year. A lot of viewers do not even like football but are there for the halftime show, commercials, and food. This year a ton of big brands like Coca Cola, Pepsi, and Budweiser decided not to make their highly awaited commercials and instead donated money to go towards COVID vaccinations. Although the most popular brands stepped aside this year, there were still commercials that many fans enjoyed.

While this advertisement is promoting a free backyard makeover, it features many famous celebrities such as Martha Stewart, John Travolta, and Leslie David Baker aka Stanley from the Office.
2. Doritos 3D
Doritos recently released a 3-D shaped Dorito and cast Matthew McConaughey as the main character to advertise the product. He goes through different days in 2-D form and you see his struggles throughout. Then once he eats a 3D Dorito he is back to his normal shape. The popular actor drew plenty of attention to this ad and definitely made it a fan favorite.
3. Mountain Dew
This Mountain Dew ad stars John Cena and their new Watermelon Dew. There is a twist to this commercial where if you were the first person to tweet the correct number of Mountain Dew bottles in the commercial, you could win 1 million dollars!
Ford did not even advertise any of their vehicles in this clip and instead sent a message of hope to people around the globe. Their ad included clips of healthcare workers, business owners, and others going throughout their lives during COVID. They reminded the audience that this too shall pass and we will be able to be together again if we “finish strong”. #FinishStrong is a campaign made to donate PPE and create products to help fight the virus, as Ford has made hundreds of thousands of ventilators during the pandemic.
5. Cadillac
Cadillac takes the famous movie Edward Scissorhands and adds a modern day twist. Timothee Chalamet plays the role of Edward’s son Edgar, where he shows his life and the obstacles faced because of his hands. The commercial highlights his inability to drive and how his mother, played by Winona Ryder, felt bad for him so she found a solution. Edgar can finally drive because Cadillac released a hands free cruise option in the new Electric Cadillac Lyriq.
With all these memorable commercials and more, fans were given challenges, and chances to win free items and money, while seeing their favorite celebrities in the process. Even though this year’s Superbowl was a little different due to COVID, the commercials still made headlines or went viral, and will be remembered.
