For the Chiefs boys lacrosse team, this season has been a bumpy ride.  From the start, the Chiefs had a rigorous preseason with hours of training to prepare for the season ahead.  The season started strong for our team, with two wins in two games, but since then things has leveled out as the Chiefs have had an overall record of eight and nine and a divisional record of two and four.  Although the Chiefs have had a tough go as of late, they are looking forward to success down the road at the state tournament level.

The team is headed by coaches John Timman and Kyle Huff, who both have had great success coaching at this level.  The team not only has great leadership on the sideline, but on the field as well.  The team is lead by seniors Marvin Lazametaj, Jake Mulick, Dominic Malia, Brian Zales, James Miller, Emilio Cappozolli, and Andrew Valenti.  The team can also expect some big production down the stretch from junior Ryan Schaffer, sophomore goaltender Frankie Genello, and freshman phenom James Miller (not to be confused with senior James Miller).  The team is hoping for some strong performances from everyone as the state tournament looms large.  When asked to comment on the season, senior Jake Mulick had to say that, “We are a team who has had a lot of ups and downs this season.  We’ve had a couple quality wins, but we’ve also had some tough losses.  Our main focus right now is the postseason and trying to bring home our first state championship.”  Hopefully some big players will step up in the larger games and come June, the Chiefs will have a new piece of hardware to put in the trophy case.
