5 Activities You and Your Friends Can do While Remaining Socially Distant

1. Go on a Picnic:

Going on a picnic is a great way for you and your friends to catch up on your daily lives and spend time together. It is an activity that doesn’t require you to be within 6 feet of each other, and everyone can bring their own food and blankets. This is also an opportunity to enjoy nature before the weather becomes cold, and gives you a chance to escape the electrolytes of your computer.

2. Have A Presentation Party:

One fun activity you and your friends can do over Zoom is to have a presentation party. Each friend makes a presentation on anything topic they want, which can range from “Which character from The Office would your friends be” to “The order in which your friends would survive the Zombie Apocalypse”. One friend would host the zoom and all others can share their screen when it is their turn to present.

3. Teleparty:

Teleparty is an easy extension that one can download for free on their computer, and the great part is, you are now allowed to use it with Netflix, HBO, Hulu, and Disney+. You and your friends can all watch a movie at the same time, and a chat bar appears to the right of the screen where you can chat with your friends throughout the duration of the movie. When your friend pauses their show, your show pauses as well to make sure it stays in sync. It is a great way to communicate with your friends and catch up on the movies you have missed.

4. Pumpkin Carving Contest:

This is a very fun and simple activity to do with your friends, and it’s perfect for the fall season.  While being 6 feet apart and wearing masks, each person can carve their own pumpkin, and at the end a chosen judge can decide who did the best. This is an easy way to spend time with your friends and get in the Halloween spirit, while listening to music or spooky stories.

5. Kahoot Game:

Each friend can make a kahoot game about themselves and share their screen on Zoom. Everyone else can join the game on their phones and see which person knows who best. It is a very fun way to keep in touch with your friends and can help you to get to know them better.
