What can you tell us about the very successful Caldwell football 2013 season?
We had a very successful season, and achieved things that not many teams before us achieved. We were a family that worked hard everyday to get better.
What honors did you receive for football?
1200 yards rushing 19 touchdowns first team all county first team all conference and 2 team all group 2.
Congratulations. Now moving on to wrestling season, how is the team shaping up this year?
Thank you. But I just want to, real quick, say something about football. All the credit truly goes to the offensive line, Joe Galioto, Nick Desena, Ian Davison, Jacob Charpentier, and Joe Valentino. As for wrestling we have a very experienced team that has high expectations. We have goals that we are determined to achieve and we work harder then anyone to do so.
How is your season starting off for you personally?
I’m 9-1 right now with 8 pins. I missed some time because of my shoulder but I’m finally back at almost 100%.
How do you feel you are doing comparatively to your previous seasons wrestling?
Definitely feel much stronger and in much better shape then the last 3 years.
We want to be county tourney champs, district champs, sectional champs and we want to be ranked in the top 20 of the state.
Any personal goals?
It’s been my dream since I was in second grade to wrestle in Atlantic City (individual state tourney).
Lastly, have you made any decisions on concerning college, involving or not involving sports?
No, I haven’t made a final decision yet, but there’s a high chance it will be playing football somewhere.
Thank you very much.
We, from the Caldron Sports section, wish Ray and the rest of the Chiefs wrestlers good luck on the remainder of their season.
