Friday, March 1, Rock’n’ Joes in Caldwell burst with talented performers and a lively audience as the 3rd Annual Rock Out Cancer fundraised for the American Cancer Society. Organized by Captain Katie Aliotta of Team No Surrender, Rock Out Cancer has brought together the entire community to fight back against cancer by enjoying great music from high school talent and the delicious food from Rock’n’ Joes, while raising over $700 for cancer research, treatment, and advocacy.
The success of this event is attributed to the tremendously spirited members of Team No Surrender and the talent of all of the performers: Melanie Liana Bonilla; the James Caldwell High School Retro Men; Luke Wielgus, Eric Nickl, Daniel Esposito, Christian Cordero, and Billy Welsh of the Nightingale Effect; Casey Maw, Chris Dalla Riva, Andrew Goodman, Trent Fillebrown, and Tom Rowland of Arnold Palmer and the Little Tikes; Garrett Bell, Jake Miller, Michael Berry, and Nick VanLeer of GNGR; John Kreil and Andrea Vallee; and Jacob Ploch and Giselle Fernandez of Split Statement. Rock Out Cancer could not have run smoother without the help of Mr. Jon Bell, who organized and controlled all of the sound, and would not have been possible without the generous support of Mr. Dan Sgarlato, the manger of Rock’n’ Joes, who helped shape and improve Rock Out Cancer, as well as, offer his space and services.
Team No Surrender thanks everyone involved and all those who came over the past three years for making Rock Out Cancer such a success for the American Cancer Society. Everyone is invited to Relay For Life on Friday, May 10.
