Former First Lady Nancy Reagan Dies at Age 94

Nancy Reagan has died today March 6th at the age of 94. According to her representative, she has passed due to a congestive heart failure. This death is devastating news as Nancy was a very important, influential woman during her lifetime. Nancy beat Breast Cancer in 1988 and has continued to live a very long life. Her husband, Ronald Reagan died in 2004 after being the 40th President of the United States of America. Nancy made a large impact

on society as she supported many charitable groups, her own campaign “Just Say No” which focused on teenage drug abuse, is what she was best known for. Ronald Reagan was shot in 1981 and Nancy stood by his side as he suffered from Alzheimer’s Disease. Since his death, Nancy has supported research to find a cure for Alzheimer’s and has become an advocate for such research.

Nancy Reagan lived a long and important life as she made many amazing changes to our country. The news of her death is truly terrible, but it does not come as much of a surprise. Details of her funeral are soon to be released, but the location has been determined. Nancy is to be buried next to her late husband at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California. The general public is allowed to pay their respects to Nancy at the library prior to the private funeral. Before Nancy passed, she made the request for all funeral contributions to be made Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Foundation.
