Q: How has the basketball team been doing so far?

A: The team is doing really well. We got off to an alright start but lately we’ve been on a roll. We’re undefeated in conference play and hope to continue that and earn a conference championship.

Q: How has the season been going so far for you as an individual?

A: I’ve been enjoying my season so far. I don’t think the stats show how well I’ve been playing, I have been trying to distribute the ball a lot more and I have been happy with my defense so far. I’m really just trying to have fun this year.

Q: What are your goals for the season as an individual and as a team?

A: As a team, one of our main goals is to win the conference. We think we have a really good chance to do that and it’d be a nice accomplishment for us. Other than that, we’re just looking to make a run in the county and state tournament and make some noise. Individually, I just want to make my teammates better. As a point guard, I see that as my responsibility and I am trying to distribute the ball.

Q: How are you filling the gaps left behind by the seniors that graduated last year?

A: We have a strong senior grade this year that’s really stepped up into their roles. We have a lot of experience as most of our seniors played significant time last year as juniors. That’s probably the best thing about our team, our experience and the chemistry that comes with all that time playing together.

Q: What is the key to success for the team for the rest of the season?

A: We just need to play hard every game and not have any letdowns. We’ve had a couple scares recently against teams that we should definitely beat so we just need to avoid those games and come to play each time.
